These instructor-led, online courses are produced by Student Achievement Associates and are open to all 8th-grade students currently enrolled in a Catholic, private, public, or homeschool for the 2023-24 school year.


FALL COURSE

September 18th - November 18th (60 minute classes, once a week for nine weeks)

The course runs for nine weeks and meets on the same day each week for 1 hour. The course options are:
  • Mondays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm EST
  • Mondays from 8:00pm - 9:00pm EST
  • Tuesdays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm EST
  • Wednesdays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm EST
  • Thursdays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm EST
  • Saturdays from 9:00am - 10:00am EST
To register for a FALL course:

    • The date listed below is the start date for that nine week session.
    • You only need to register once. Your registration will be for the full nine week session.
    • Registration will be open for each session until capacity is met. Each course is expected to fill quickly.

BOOT CAMP

Most Saturdays October 14th - January 6th (1-day course)

The Boot Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a Saturday prior to students taking the HSPT. The course is condensed into one longer day rather than nine one-hour classes. Students will have ELA or Math from 9:00 to 12:15, break for lunch, and then switch to the other content area from 12:45 to 4:00. The course options are:
  • Saturday, October 14th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, October 21st from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, November 18th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, November 25th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, December 2nd from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, December 9th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, December 30th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday, January 6th from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay for registration?

The final step of the registration process is to pay online using a credit card. Accepted credit cards are American Express, VISA, and MasterCard.

What if I want to sign up my child for more than one or all three courses?

You will need to register for each course separately, including paying by credit card. Each registration will be a separate transaction. When registering, you will receive a warning message stating that a registration has already been found under that email address; you will simply need to click the CONTINUE button to continue registering.

How many students will be in my child's online class?

Each class will have no more than 20 students.

Who is teaching my child's class?

Certified Catholic school teachers who have expertise in either Language Arts or Math. Teachers will instruct the courses pertaining to their subject area expertise.

What materials does my child need for this course?

There will not be a mandatory text for HSPT Prep this year. Students will be provided with enrichment assignments between class meetings and electronic copies will be made available via email and Google Drive. Additionally, students will need access to Zoom and have the ability to be on camera for each class session.

How do I make changes to my registration?

To make changes, click “Already Registered” at the top of the page. Under “Update Registration,” type the email address you entered during registration, and the registration number you received. Click “Login” to access to your registration and make any changes.

If I want to cancel my registration, am I able to obtain a refund?

Refunds can be provided if a request is submitted at least one week before the start of class. Contact Eric Watts at Student Achievement Associates [email protected] for cancellations.

I never received an email confirming my registration. What should I do?

Click “Already Registered” at the top of the page to resend the confirmation email. Under “Resend Confirmation Email,” type the email address you entered during registration and click “Send Email.” Be sure to check your email SPAM or Junk folder.
